JUST SHUT UP AND BE THANKFUL...

"JUST SHUT UP AND BE THANKFUL"...

I was talking to my sisters on our monthly  3-way telephone gab session ..
On this particular call we were celebrating my sister Janet's birthday ..
My other sister Claudia and I  had decided to sing Happy Birthday to her after I got them both on the line .. she joined in, so we were ALL singing..
It sounded like a version of "conflicted voices meeting a bunch of drunken, crazy women, all singing the wrong song, with a different mish mash of unintelligible
off key madness"..
I know you've  all heard that version of a song or songs when your friends try to sing along with you..
Laughter ensued..
Our conversation was one of sharing with each other, our recent colorful Christmas's, it's joys, a bit of sadness as well ..
We all concluded, before we hung up, that we were all standing by a bit of truth.
It's a fact that came to mind when I allow sadness to seep into my thoughts..
I shared my truth..

"JUST SHUT UP AND BE THANKFUL"..

With that, the three of us agreed that  it was a mantra we would carry into our New Year..

God Bless and Happy New Year and when things get rough remember ...
"JUST SHUT UP AND BE THANKFUL"...

STILLNESS....

STILLNESS...

She sat fixated on
unimaginable grief.
Isolated, gripped by
darkness that only
few could understand..
The lingering aftermath
of solidarity that once
manifested between them
has left an aching
in her soul . The chasm
between reality and
imagination echos
relentlessly as she breaths
and chokes on
it's bitter layers..
Moving  is like lingering
in a quagmire that diminishes
if only stillness rendered.
Hours turn to days.
that turn to months,
now several more,
has kept her
motionless emotionally.
Memories promise to
only bring more as time
slips into the cavernous
endless chapters of a
endless novel that she
continues to recall ..
She turns each page
and continues .. she
will never let it end until
she joins him.. it is then
her loneliness and
sadness will cease..

A THANKFUL HEART...

A THANKFUL HEART...

Thank You Lord,
for your Love,
Your Spirit,
Thank You God,
for indeed I see,
I truly  feel  it ..

Your forever Grace
with Salvation's
Peace..
When turmoil
swirls and evil is
unleashed..

When I am down,
you never fail me...
From the depths of despair,
your grace it
saves me..

You never let
me drown
in the sea
of self pity..
Instead, You
are a lamp
to my feet,
You bless me..

You have carefully
mended this
shattered heart..
Through healing,
your spirit has
given me a fresh
new start..

Your Word has
salvaged
this battered,
broken life..
Cleansed, I've
severed  guilt,
felt no longer,
nor is it in sight..

Still I stumble, I
fall, and go my
own way..
Forgetting to stop,
to kneel, to remember
to pray..

I  again lift my voice
in praise and song..
You whisper gently ..
"I'm with you always,
I'm never gone"...

So again I say,
with a thankful heart..
I praise You for
this brand new start..

Ps.44:8 "In God we boast all the day long,
and praise your name forever. Selah"

THOSE WHO...

THOSE WHO...

For those who
know His touch..
To those who
seek His will..
For those who
crave salvation..
To those who
lost their way..
For those who
cry in pain..
To those who
walk alone..
For those who
feel ashamed..
To those who
reach out..
For those who
extend a hand..
To those who
know  darkness..
For those who
care..
To those give
forgiveness..
For those who
share ..
To those who
are blinded..
For those
who seek
the light..
To those who
love unconditionally ..
For each one
there is
an answer..
To each who
heeds His call ..
For each is
given His gift..
To those who
receive it freely..
Blessings abound
for those
who accept..

Ephesians 2:8-9English Standard Version (ESV)

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

FORGIVEN...

FORGIVEN...

Twirling my hair
 between my
fingers..
A nervous tick
when sins,
they linger  ..

Pain, torment,
shame and
heartache..
Unsure,
UN-forgiven,
alone with
mistakes..

The sins that
burden
this tortured
soul...
Remorse inside,
sins take their
toll..

Prayers to
my Savior
one by one..
Relinquish,
 I submit
before the
Son..

This rotten
corpse,
this human
flesh...
The soul,
the spirit,
released,
refreshed..

He understands,
He paid
the price..
Forgiven,
I'm rescued
Because
of Christ ...

PURITY SEEN ON A SNOW LADEN MORNING ...

Have you ever
woke up one snowy
wintery morn ..
To find a quiet
stillness from a
heavy snowy storm..

The dawns shimmery
light reflects a
brilliant twinkling
aura..
The air fresh,
yet brisk and
chilled on this
yesterday's
tomorrow..

It seems as if
life has been
disturbed briefly
by this crisp
new day..
Scenic, my
world is blanketed
by a winter
wonderland for
to dance and play..

Quiet and serene,
the stillness calls
me.. calls my soul,
it is stirred within ...
The white peaceful scene,
with it's purity,
untouched by man,
rendered holy..

Reminded once
again that by
grace we are
saved from
pain and
darkness..
We are not
like ships
stranded alone
at sea thrown
about by waves
of starkness..

I am as pure and
white as the new
fallen snow on
the dark cold
ground..
His purity and
holiness has
brought me to
Calvary, proudly
I sing and shout
out loud..

The quiet stillness
of this snow kissed
it's scenic pleasure
over hill and dale ..
I no longer walk
in silence, crying out
and destitute,
feeling alone and frail..

Next time you
wake up to the
quiet stillness
of a white snow
covered land..
Think of who
covered your
sins with His
cloak of purity,
praise Him..
HALLELUJAH!!
We sing and
shout!
It is  eternally
grand !!

Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool."
