REMEMBERING...

Remembering  ...

Remember that day  not
that long ago?
When the day was long..
It turned so dark ?

When we all stood still , 
We couldn't believe..
We just watched  in awe, 
it broke our  hearts ...
We  could hardly breath..

We stood as one
as we breathed  in the pain..
Watching again, seeing
yet another plane..
Hit the towers one by one .
Then the Pentagon was hit ..
Yes,another came..
Then the fourth plane crashed
In Pennsylvania ..
Too much to endure ..
Never to be the same..


Our Minds go back to that 
painful day..
When Americans were one
 across mountains and plains..
We stood as one..
We symbolically held hands..

Now here it is , ten years
 have gone..
It was like yesterday..
Our nation groans ..

We haven't forgotten how we all stood as ONE..
On that dark solemn day,
Blake clouds  came,
They hid the sun..

Today as we commemorate
that day in infamy ..
Take time to reflect the lives 
WE lost .. 
It was torture and terror
You see..

All that remains is it's complexity ..
Much has changed..
We are no longer one ..
We bicker and fight over politics,
 the red and the blue..
What brought us to this ?
Guess I will never know..

Today once again, we stand as one,
Remembering ....
And the lives that are  gone..
