OLDER NOW...

Older now,  realizing my days

are shorter on earth, than longer..

My thoughts, my dreams, 

my love of life, simply  gets stronger..

Cherishing now, the sights, smells 

and sounds of a summers day at dawn..

When everything is fresh as the sun 

breaks light and the wind is calm..

Able now, to reflect and look upon each

 blessings of life with gratitude and praise..

Slowing down just enough  to remember, 

to realize each infatuation, each phase..

Chapters of my past are sealed securely

within the chambers of my soul..

Days of youth, innocence , excitement,

and irrevocable  boundless joy..

There were times when life seemed

 dark with no end in sight of a brighter day..

All that time, never did I feel alone.. 

He met me always, where I cried, I prayed..

Older now,  I know He carried me through

each heartache, each tumultuous situation..

His Spirit within me gives way to celebration,

Happiness, joy , always consolation!!
