She cries and sobs in the darkness of her room..
Her heart broken, saddened by words that loom..
Words that tell her she didn't do or was good enough ..
She should have done more, stood out , planned stuff..
She comforts herself with prayers and memories..
Thoughts of long ago, they seem like centuries.. ..
Gave herself completely to raise her family..
Sacrificed, struggled ,there was no fallacy ..
She did it all without regrets or shame..
Head held high, it was never a game ..
With pride and prayer she walks alone..
She forgives and forgets and sets the tone ..
Keeps her memories deep within her tortured soul..
She nods and whispers, they've taken a toll..
She realizes now and now more than ever..
The past is past ..not one understands the endeavor..
"Life Goes On".. it is said , tis true!!
She forgives the past and begins anew..
