I WONDER AT THE END OF THE DAY...

At the end of the day I wonder if
. I wonder if I was short, uncaring or brief..

 At the end of the day, did I dry a tear?
I wonder if I carried a burden, did I care?

 I wonder at the end of the day, was I kind?
Did I lift a spirit, did my smile illuminate , shine?

 At the end of the day, did I give instead of take?
 Did I share, play fair, pick the last one first..
Simply give that person a fair shake?

 I wonder at the end of the day,
 did I hug a little tighter,  hold a hand a little longer..
Wink instead of stare, acknowledge a little fonder ?

 I wonder at the end of the day, did I forgive with all my heart?
Did I go out of my way to speak love to a heart that was broken apart?

 At the end of the day, did I give with all my being?
 Did I really sacrifice, did I open my soul to release
God's perfect love, so others could see Him?

 So it is at the end of this day, as it is everyday..
I wonder! Did I do enough at the end of yet another day?
