Long shadows drift silently,
blissfully into the night..
Perpetual tender thoughts
rule in this night air..
Graceful sweet images
float effortless without a care..
In this brief moment of stillness
with the eloquence of this evening..
Life's bitterness is a faded memory
by the beauty that surrounds me..
Simple serenity felt
with grace and light..
As I quietly gaze
at the last evening rays
