I dreamt last night how really irrelevant I was..
I returned to my former life to find I'd been
forgotten .. For no other reason than just because...
I ran from room to room to find everything changed ..
Every memory destroyed, every frame blotted,
every reminder of my past life gone or rearranged ..
I saw faces that looked puzzled as I continued my search..
No one knew who I was nor did they reach inside themselves..
Many just stared blankly as if I was someone with a curse..
Life had gone on without me and the memories erased..
Changes were in the present, they stretched into oblivion ..
Clouded, sometimes dark, my life seemed integrated but unlaced..
Sadly, I found my way back to the door in which I entered..
Those in my past went their way, and I went mine..
Only to dream of a new life beyond those I have lost,
Those I had encountered..
