FRIENDSHIPS: MEMORIES UNTOUCHED BY YEARS..

Friendships:  memories untouched by years

I close my eyes and there they  all are ..
My childhood  friends, still young without life's scars..

Fresh bright faces full of life and smiles..
Untouched by years of now uphill miles ..

How my sight is uncluttered by age..
Of those younger lives, eager to take on fate..

Dancing and chasing those first loves of ours.,
Breaking their hearts, leaving untold scars..

Oh we had it all , that ol' gang of ours ..
That's what we called ourselves, We were the stars!!

We took on school, fashion and life..
We had no sadness, hardship or strife..

Life was so simple back then when we were young..
We never missed a beat as we sang our prideful song.,

I close my eyes, and I still see those fresh faces..
So naive and cute and full of
natural graces..

We had it all and never missed a beat.,
Never knew battle that took others by defeat..

We just loved and laughed and left a trail of happiness..
Down our youthful road, none of life ruts or crevasses..

We were bonded together from the first day we met..
Those friends of mine our friendships solid and set..

I close my eyes and they are still there..
My lifelong friends never forgotten, I still care..

I will always cherish those friends of years gone by..
For I think of them still and I start to cry..

Years have been kind to each and everyone of you..
We shared some sadness and casualties, yes it is true..

We all still hold tight to each others hearts..
Never forgetting how we were bonded right from the start..

We get together from time to time..
Laugh and linger on those childhood memories sublime..

They still  hold a place in my heart.. that ol' gang of mine..
I just close my eyes and remember those younger times..
