ROCKED SANG AND PRAYED

ROCKED SANG AND PRAYED

I have an old rocking chair in
My bedroom..
A chair I rocked, sang and prayed from night and
Noon..
My children fevered brows and listless bodies slept..
My arms of Love in earnest
Kept ..
Soft songs of praise and hymns
With fervent prayers..
That God's heart I've touched with tears, He cares..
My spirit one with sickened child
At my breast..
With God so close.. His touch,
His Spirit entrenched..
Our bonded souls lifted to a higher plain..
His presence  real as I reach out
I feel no blame..
Just pure and untainted fearless calm..
He wraps the child with His healing balm..
There was and is no better place..
As I rocked and sang "Amazing Grace"..
My child lay rested and safe from harm ..
I placed within my Masters
Arms..
Save and secure, my faith
Renewed..
I search no more, my spirit
Viewed..
A taste of heaven's pure holy
Place..
My child rests as I  seek His face..

Those were memories I've kept in store..
The times I rocked and sang at heavens door..
He came to meet me with child I
Cried..
"Dear Jesus Heal and bless this
Child"..
He always answered with His "Still small voice"..
"I am here and I hear your every  prayer"
"Rest now mother" as He touched and cared..
"This child I Love more than even you"..
"I've come to heal and rescue, it is true"..
"For tomorrow will bring a bright new dawn"..
The fevered brow is miraculously
Gone..
Bright red cheeks are pale
again..
The child's broad smile and strength begins ..
With laughter and spirit refreshed within..

"Thank you Jesus".. I whisper and said out loud..
My faith remains forever
Proud..

I am now older and My children grown..
Their own children they have now
Bestowed..
I hope they remember those precious scenes..
Where we met and touched God's
Presence gleams ..
Wasn't it just yesterday I Sang Rocked and prayed..
When He came and met me,
I was not afraid..
