THE SHOUT AND  THE WHISPER OF GOD..

Have you ever heard..

the sweet whisper of God?

It is  most likely a sweet..

quiet verbal prod ..

You stop and pause..

 if not but a moment .. 

Wonder what you heard..

 was  His voice or

your written sonnet .. 

You ask yourself.. 

Could this be You? 

I am sure it's  You ..

So clear and true ..

When I am done ..

 with a written verse..

I see His wisdom..

 as I read and search..

I hear Him speak ..

as I read His Word .. 

 I hear Him speak..

as I seek and purge..

Have you ever heard..

the sweet whisper of God?

There is nothing like it..

 on this earthly sod ..

When I was young..

 I prayed a prayer..

It was not His will..

He made this clear ..

I heard my name ..

Shouted loud and clear..

There was no mistake.. 

I jumped in fear ..

I knew in an instant..

 It was God Himself.. 

The voice was His..

 There was no one else..

I suddenly realized..

 My prayer was wrong..

 He was less than pleased..

I felt it strong ..

So never say.. 

God never speaks out loud..

I've  heard Him clear...

Like a noisy crowd ..

He whispers sweet..

He whispers still..

He whispers faint..

He whispers clear..

I've heard Him shout.. 

So loud and clear.. And

His still small voice..

Yet I have no fear..

May I never stop hearing 

Him speak to me..  

It  is in His voice ..

That I am set free ..
