WE  DANCED  IN THE SUN...

In the still of the night 

is when I think of you ..

Thoughts of young love

 and passion, they come

 flooding through ..

We danced in the sun..

I recall how you were and those times

You made me  laugh .. Yet,

Our lives took different paths..

We danced in the sun.

Too young to know ..

Our  love  was brief,

We lost control..

We danced in the sun..

Those were the times

I  recall...

Never dreamed it would end..

Never thought of it at all ..

You stole my heart and parts

 of it are still with you..

You consumed my thoughts, 

Part of  my soul was yours  too ...

Yes, we danced in the sun .. 

 I think of you often, I  wonder

 if you ever think of me..

When our young  hearts beat..

You reached  for  the stars..

Left me alone with only  memories

To recall ..

And the sands of time still 

My name they call..

We danced in the sun,

Until it's rays were all but  gone
